Against the Storm Glades Guide - cover

In this Against the Storm Glades Guide, I'll tell you what you need to know about Glades, Dangerous Glades, Forbidden Glades, and the Glade Events that can bring a quick end to your Settlement.

How Against the Storm Glades Work

Glades are the sections of forest that are obscured by the fog of war. You'll inevitably need to expand outwards as your Settlement grows and these glades can be benefits or downsides for your Villagers. Unfortunately, there's no real way of knowing what's inside until you chop down some trees.

There are three types of Against the Storm Glades:

  • Glades - Typically have no major threats, but can still present some problems.
  • Dangerous Glades - Guaranteed to have at least one threat to your Settlement.
  • Forbidden Glades - Highly dangerous areas that can destroy your Settlement in minutes. Do not approach these until you are well-established and have adequate supplies on hand.

You should ensure, at the minimum, that you have 12 or so Simple Tools and Planks available before breaching into a Dangerous Glade so that you can quickly resolve the event before it destroys your village.

Now that you've got the basic tips down, let's dive into the various Against the Storm Glades I've encountered so far!

Against the Storm Glades Guide - Glades

List of Glades Events

The Against the Storms Glades Events can be discovered in any Glade. Do note that these can also be found in Dangerous Glades and Forbidden Glades as well; typically, Dangerous Glades and Forbidden Glades will have at least one event for their type and can have several regular Glades events within the Glade as well.

It should also be mentioned that regular Glades can rarely have negative events (such as a party of dead Villagers); while threats such as these are rare, they ought to be quickly addressed to prevent any long-lasting damage to your Settlement due to lowered Resolve or other problems.

Against the Storm Glades Guide - Forbidden Glades

List of Forbidden Glades Events

Forbidden Glades are highly dangerous threats in Against the Storm that are not to be underestimated. These Events can cause severe damage to your Settlement very quickly, even if you're able to respond to them right away.

It also bears mentioning that there is no guarantee of only one Forbidden Glade Event; for example, I entered a Forbidden Glade and discovered two Lightning Catchers. The pair of these devices, left unchecked, could rapidly obliterate my buildings if they were not quickly addressed (and I ended up losing four buildings anyway).

Here are all of the Events we've found in Forbidden Glades in Against the Storm.
