Apex Legends has introduced its newest Legend, Conduit, in a rather charmingly-animated new trailer.

The trailer, which is titled "For Us, Utang na Loob", is part of the Stories from the Outlands series, and shows how Conduit gets her powers.

She owes her life to the Titan Monarch, who saved her life during a firefight.

The new Apex Legends trailer is heartwarming and inspiring by turn.

When she sees the sacrifices her sister is making for her family, Conduit decides to step up. By touching the remains of Monarch's irradiated battery, she gains powers of her own and begins her Legend journey.

The trailer has some neat Easter eggs for fans of Apex Legends to spot, too; one of Conduit's friends, for instance, is dressed as the Legend Revenant (who received an overhaul back in Season 18), while another's look seems to be inspired by Octane.

The animation is sweet and endearing, and it's nice to see Respawn delving a little more into the lore of its Apex Legends cast.

The arrival of Conduit heralds the debut of the new Apex Legends Ignite season, which is set to debut on October 31st.

At the moment, the official Apex Legends website doesn't give too much away regarding Ignite; there will be a new battle pass, of course, and there's a rather cryptic message simply reading "the storm has passed", but outside of that, we don't know too much yet.

The first big trailer for Ignite is set to arrive on October 23rd, so we'll likely learn what's coming as part of the season's new content then.

This isn't all Apex Legends has planned for the future, either; a collaboration with rapper Post Malone is also on the way, kicking off on November 7th.

We'll have to wait and see what's in store for Apex Legends in season 19, but until then, you can download and play the game for free right now on PC and consoles. A version of the game was also available on mobile devices, but it was shut down earlier this year.
