How the Coral Island Tools Work

Here is how each of the Coral Island Tools work:

  • Axe - Chops down trees and cuts sticks.
  • Bug Net - Catches Bugs and underwater creatures while Diving.
  • Fishing Rod - Catches Fish.
  • Hoe - Tills the soil for Farming and can be used to dig up Forageables.
  • Pickaxe - Breaks rocks and Mines ore.
  • Scythe - Cuts grass, weeds, and Trash.
  • Sword - Does damage to enemies.
  • Watering Can - Waters Crops.

How to Get a Sword

You'll get a Sword after you visit the Caverns for the first time. However, the Caverns won't be open until a few days after you've started the game.

How to Get a Bug Net

You can get a Bug Net as a free gift at the BeachShack on the 3rd day of the game.

How to Get a Fishing Pole

You can get a Fishing Pole as a free gift at the BeachShack on the 3rd day of the game.

How to Upgrade Your Coral Island Tools

You can upgrade most of your Coral Island Tools at the Blacksmith north of the town square. The Bug Net and the Fishing Pole are upgraded at the BeachShack, and the Sword and Scythe are not able to be upgraded as of Early Access v0.1 -49002.

  • Silver Tool Upgrade Cost - Bronze Axe, 5 Silver Bar, 20 Wood, 5,000 Gold, 2 Days

Bug Net

  • Upgraded At - BeachShack
  • Improved Fishing Pole Upgrade Cost - 3,700 Gold

The Bug Net is not upgraded like the other tools are; rather, you purchase a new, improved version.


Fishing Rod

  • Upgraded At - BeachShack
  • Improved Fishing Rod Upgrade Cost - 3,700 Gold

Hoe

  • Upgraded At - Blacksmith

Pickaxe

  • Silver Tool Upgrade Cost - Bronze Pickaxe, 5 Silver Bar, 20 Wood, 5,000 Gold, 2 Days

Scythe

  • Upgraded At - N/A

Sword

  • Upgraded At - N/A
