If there's one thing more games need, it's the ability to dress up as a chicken. That's something indie sandbox game Core Keeper clearly understands, as its new Easter event adds a costume that lets you do just that, as well as new equipment, a host of decorative items, and more.
The Great Egg Hunt was Core Keeper's first ever seasonal event after the game launched in Early Access last March, and now, developer Pugstorm says it wants the anniversary Easter event to be "bigger and better" than its predecessor. To that end, as well as the titular Egg Hunt, you can also look forward to a chicken suit that does exactly what it says on the tin.
In addition to the chicken outfit, you'll also find an Eggcellent equipment set you can use as you're hacking your way through Core Keeper's underground environments. Several new decorative elements have been added, including an Easter-themed garland, a seasonal egg lamp, and more.
Of course, the Great Egg Hunt itself also returns in this Easter event. You'll need to collect Easter Eggs across various areas in Core Keeper, eventually amassing enough to build the fabled Golden Egg. You won't be able to just discover them, though; Pugstorm says you'll "have to take a more aggressive approach" if you want to find them. No more hints than that are forthcoming, but you can check out our Great Egg Hunt guide for last year to get a rough idea of what you're doing.
If you'd like to know everything that's new in the Easter update for Core Keeper, then you can check out the full patch notes via Steam. Core Keeper is available right now on PC, where it's in Early Access. It'll set you back $12.99, although it's on sale at time of writing for 20% off.
