How Cult of the Lamb Quests Work

Every Cult of the Lamb Quest is fairly straightforward -- for the most part, you'll be given some objectives and a nominal reward for completing them. There are two exceptions to this standard rule: Follower Quests and Challenges.

How Follower Quests Work in Cult of the Lamb

Follower Quests can randomly be given to you by one of your Followers. Successfully complete them and you'll get a big boost in Loyalty. Turn them down or fail to complete them, however, and you'll lose a good chunk of Faith.

Here are some of the possible Follower Quests you can get:

• Build Decorations
• Allow sick Followers to join the Cult
• Allow dissenting Followers to join the Cult
• Allow elderly Followers to join the Cult
• Collect a number of items from a zone
• Rescue a relative or friend from a zone
• Feed a specific food to another Follower
• Cook a specific Meal
• Investigate and/or imprison another Follower
• Perform a specific Ritual
• Marry a Follower
• Sacrifice a Follower (often themselves)

How Challenges Work in Cult of the Lamb

Challenges are given to you by Ratau as a random ? Map Event, Complete them and you'll typically gain a Decoration or some other sort of reward.

Challenges can include:

• Taking no damage for 3 rooms
• Using no Curses for 3 rooms

Here's a list of all of the most important Quests in Cult of the Lamb.

Blood of the Covenant

• Requirements
  • Return to the Lands of the Old Faith
  • Return with more Gold Coins
  • Return with more Followers
• How to Finish this Quest - Activate the portal to Darkwood north of the Cult. Clear out an area and you'll get some more Followers and Coins along the way.

Faith of the Flock

• Requirements
  • Return to the lands of the Old Faith
  • Find Commandment Stone Fragments
• How to Finish this Quest - Go back into the Darkwood portal and do another run. You'll eventually come across three Commandment Stone Fragments, allowing you to activate your first Doctrine.

Faith of the Flock

• Requirements
  • Return to the Lands of the Old Faith
  • Collect Bone (0/25)
  • Perform any Ritual in your Temple
• How to Finish this Quest - Go back into the Darkwood Portal and kill enemies. This time, make sure to destroy their skeletons to collect Bones. Then, complete a Ritual in your Temple when you return.

Bishops of the Old Faith

• Requirements
  • Kill Leshy in Darkwood
  • Kill Heket in Anura
  • Kill Kallamar in Anchordeep
  • Kill Shamura in Silk Cradle
  • Free The One Who Waits
• How to Finish this Quest - Proceed through the game and kill all four Bishops.
• Reward - You can free The One Who Waits from his chains... or take his power for your own.

Beasts Below the Waves

• Requirements
  • Catch a Squid and give it to The Fisherman.
  • Catch [an] Octopus and give it to The Fisherman.
  • Catch a Lobster and give it to The Fisherman.
  • Catch a Crab and give it to The Fisherman.
• How to Finish this Quest - While you could spend a lot of time Fishing and eventually complete this, it's much easier to unlock the Ritual of the Ocean's Bounty by getting the third Doctrine in the Sustenance tree and casting it beforehand. This will double the rate of Fish you catch and increase the rate of special Fish spawning.
• Reward - Upon completion, The Fisherman will sell you any Fish for 10 Coins.

Seeking Sozo

• Requirements
  • Bring Sozo 20x Menticide Mushrooms
• How to Finish this Quest - Find Menticide Mushrooms in Anura and/or grow them with Farming, then bring them to him in Shroom Grotto.

Eye of the Witness

• Requirements
  • Visit Smuggler's Sanctuary
  • Bring Plimbo an Eye of a Witness
• How to Finish this Quest - Revisit an area where you've already killed a Bishop and kill a Boss to get an Eye of a Witness. Then, travel to Smuggler's Sanctuary and give it to Plimbo.
• Reward - 1 Holy Talisman Shard

Knucklebones

• Requirements
  • Defeat Ratau at Knucklebones
  • Defeat Flinky at Knucklebones
  • Defeat Klunko and Bop at Knucklebones
  • Defeat Shrumy at Knucklebones
• How to Finish this Quest - You must defeat all of these players at Knucklebones; check out our Knucklebones Guide for tips on how to win!
