Having trouble navigating Dogtown? Maybe this early gig will give you edge, and iconic weapon you need. Here is our Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty Go Your Own Way guide.
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty Go Your Own Way Guide – Prototype In The Scraper
The first thing you need to do is complete a certain gig in Dogtown. The name of the gig is Prototype in the Scraper, and it is just west of your Kress Street hideout.
On paper, the job is simple. Get in, secure some prototype tech for Zetatech, get out.
Once you've cleared the hideout of enemies, you will find out the stolen tech is in the skull of a prisoner named Hasan.
Agree to break him out and follow him through the hideout. At a certain point he will give you a tablet containing the schematics for the implant then create an escape.
Before you leave, search the locker behind Hasan when he hands you the tablet. There is a Tier 5 Zetatech Sandivistan implant free for the taking. If you want a cheap way to cosplay David from Cyberpunk Edgerunners, here's your chance.
Notably, this implant actually works better if you activate it in midair. So if you've invested in a Reflexes build and have been air dashing about, this will go fantastically with your playstyle.
Once you escape with Hasan, you will be given a moral choice. You can either turn Hasan over to Zetatech. This effectively dooms Hasan to an offscreen death by the megacorporation.
Alternatively, you can let Hasan go, lie to your contact, then just handover the schematic. Lastly, you can call your handler and negotiate to have the implant removed but let Hasan go free.
At first, it seems that all three choices amount to the same payoff: 8000 Eddies.
But there is one extra wrinkle to this storyline; and it only happens if you negotiate for his life.
Simply choose “Calling The Fixer. No Fast Moves” then the “Grab The Implant But Let Hasan Go” dialogue choices.
From there, wait a few days or progress Phantom Liberty's story.
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty Go Your Own Way Reward – Hasan's Gratitude
After some time has passed, you'll be contacted by Mr. Hands on behalf of Hasan. This will activate a new side story called Go Your Own Way. Visit the safehouse and you will talk with Hasan one last time.
Basically, in gratitude to you giving him a new lease on life, he will gift you a new weapon he's been working on: the Iconic Ambition Tech Pistol.
As for what makes the Ambition pistol so powerful, it is great for crowd control and debuffs.
Not only does it have a faster charge shot time as well as potent armor penetration and 150% headshot multiplier, it has a chance to blind your target. While they are blinded, headshot damage is increased.
Now pair that with the endgame Chain Lightning perk in the Tech skill tree.
A fully charged shot has a chance to arc to different enemies. All with the chance to blind. Congratulations, you have now turned a deadly firing squad into fish in a barrel. Happy hunting.
