Diablo IV Paragon Guide

Leveling doesn't end in Diablo IV once you've finished choosing your skills and passive abilities. Your character can become even more powerful during endgame via the Paragon system, offering more ways to customise your build as you take on tougher enemies. Diablo IV Paragon Points

After reaching level 50 on a character in Diablo IV, you stop earning Skill Points. However, there are still another 50 levels to reach, which now give Paragon Points instead. Paragon Points are earned every quarter of a level, meaning you'll be able to get 200 once your character level is maxed out. On top of this, each of the five regions offers an additional 4 Paragon Points once you obtain their final Renown Rewards. This means you have a final total of 220 Paragon Points to play with, assuming the level cap is never increased in future updates. 

But what are Paragon Points used for? At level 50, you'll unlock Paragon Boards, which is where you'll spend points to unlock stat buffs and other passive bonuses.

Diablo IV Paragon Boards

Paragon Boards can be accessed via the Abilities tab. Each Paragon Board is made up of multiple nodes, each one giving various bonuses once unlocked. Nodes can only be unlocked once an adjacent node has also been unlocked previously, with all nodes costing a single Paragon Point. There are a number of node types on each Paragon Board:

• Standard - Offer small bonuses
• Magic - Offer better bonuses over standard
• Rare - Offer larger bonuses, plus extra benefits if your stats reach a certain amount. The extra benefits will still apply if you only reach the stat requirement after a Rare Node is already unlocked.
• Legendary - Offer the key benefit on a Paragon Board. The starting board does not have a Legendary Node.
• Glyph Socket - You can place Glyphs into these sockets for extra bonuses. Glyphs can be removed and replaced at any time without destroying them.
• Board Attachment Gate - Nodes at the side of the board that allow you to attach another Paragon Board once unlocked.

Once you reach a Board Attachment Gate, you'll be able to choose from a number of class-specific Paragon Boards to attach to it. Each additional board has a unique Legendary Node, and you cannot use multiple of the same Paragon Board. It's also possible to rotate a board before attaching it, potentially making it easier to reach certain nodes.

Diablo IV Glyphs

Glyphs are an extra system applied to Paragon Boards. These can be slotted into Glyph Sockets to obtain extra passive effects. Alongside additional bonuses if you have high enough stats, Glyphs will also improve their main benefit based on the other unlocked nodes that are nearby. This radius is highlighted in red, and starts at a size for 2 for Magic Glyphs and 3 for Rare. The radius of a Glyph can be increased by leveling it up, which is done by completing Nightmare Dungeons.
