A new Dinkum update has been released, bringing scorching summer vibes to the cozy Aussie farming sim. Hey, it's almost summer in Australia!
Dinkum developer James Bendon has spoken about his desire to create a number of updates for the game themed around different seasons, and the Summer Sun update is the second of those after March's Bloomin' Spring.
Perhaps the biggest new addition in this Dinkum update is the Airport, which allows you to jet away for off-island adventures each Sunday. You could find all manner of things while you're off on your jaunts.
Bendon also says the game has received over 100 new items, many of them themed around the beach, so this is the perfect time to go catch some sun on Dinkum's sandy shores.
A brand new vehicle is also being added in the form of the Hot Air Balloon, which will let you lazily soar over your island and take in everything you've built.
In addition, a new dynamic weather system has been introduced, with different weather conditions coming to your island on a day-to-day basis.
There's plenty more stuff in this Dinkum update, including an increased multiplayer limit of 6 players, a new weapon, and a new Alpha Animal, too.
Make sure to take a look at the full Dinkum Summer Sun patch notes to see everything that's new. It pays to be informed, even in the paradise that is Dinkum.
If you haven't heard of Dinkum, it's a cozy farming sim "inspired by the wild Australian outback", as developer James Bendon describes it.
The game is currently in Early Access, but Bendon says that he's now planning for its 1.0 release, although we don't know exactly when that's coming just yet.
In the meantime, you can grab Dinkum right now on PC via Steam. You can also take a look at our guides for the game to help you get started!
