Last year, Cubicle 7 announced Doctors and Daleks. This TTRPG is a D&D 5e conversion of the long-running British sci-fi series Doctor Who. Not only is there a release date set this Fall, but it will come with several different books.
Doctors and Daleks Retail Announcement
According to a report from ICV2, the retail release of Doctors and Daleks will be comprised of three books. First is the Players Guide. This book will contain streamlined rules for creating your version of The Doctor, or one of their companions, or other Time Lords.
The report also confirms that despite being built on the combat-heavy 5e SRD, this Doctor Who RPG will feature combat-light stories as well as emphasize emotional and logical arguments. This is in keeping with the series' focus on character and drama.
In addition, the Players Guide will break down the details of certain technological devices in the series (TARDIS, sonic screwdriver, etc.), as well as a history of the Doctor Who universe and recommendations for creating adventures.
The second book is the Doctors and Daleks Alien Archive. This is essentially a Monster Manual. It will contain over 60 different aliens and monsters, including the iconic Daleks and Cybermen.
Each entry will have its own statblock, background information, and guidance for gamemasters on how to run them in an adventure.
Last but not least is Doctors and Daleks: Keys of Scaravore. This book is a four-part prewritten adventure. The adventure centers on an ancient alien being called the Scaravore and its plans to dominate the galaxy.
The adventure will take adventurers from Earth's Wild West to the depths of space. Along the way, they will confront Draconians, Silurians, Zygons, as well as the titular Scaravore itself.
All three of these books will be coming to retail stores this November. The Players Guide will be sold at an MSRP of $59.99. The Alien Archive will be sold at an MSRP of $44.99. And Keys of Scaravore adventure will be sold at an MSRP of $34.99.
Furthermore, if you're a major Doctor Who fan, a Doctors and Daleks Collector's Edition slipcover set will be released as well. This set will include all three books, and a gamemaster screen, all contained in a slipcase designed to look like the TARDIS.
This Collector's Edition set will be sold at an MSRP of $149.99.
Doctors and Daleks will be produced in parallel with Cubicle 7's existing Doctor Who: The Roleplaying Game, which is on its second edition.
