Today, at the end of the grand finals of the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour 2023/2024, Bandai Namco talked about the upcoming implementation of rollback netcode.
During the livestream of the tournament, we got the traditional video message from producer Tomoko Hiroki, who thanked players for participating in the open beta of the feature on Steam in December.
She also admitted that players have been waiting for the official implementation for a long time, alongside the launch of the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game.
Unfortunately, Hiroki-san did not have a release date to share for the official implementation, which will also be on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on top of PC, but she mentioned that the team is making "final adjustments" ahead of the release.
The official release date will be announced via social channels as soon as the adjustments are completed. Hiroki-san encouraged players to be patient for a little longer.
At the end of the video, the host of the tournament mentioned that he received some information, and we "really don't have very much to wait for" and we can be confident that it's coming "very soon, and maybe sooner than we all think."
