During the celebrations of all-things boomer shooter at Realms Deep 2023, New Blood Interactive opted to out-boomer shooter everyone with DUSK HD.
As the name implies, DUSK HD is a remaster of the retro FPS by David Szymanski released in 2018, which never went under the "overwhelmingly positive" reviews on Steam.
Perhaps the best part is that you don't even need to pay for it, as it'll be released via a free update on Steam Workshop.
Below you can catch a teaser trailer with a full one slated for Halloween. The release will be in December 2023 to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the original release.
That being said, that's not all we have from New Blood, as they also had a couple of videos to share about their upcoming crime noir FPS Fallen Aces.
The first video showcases a cutscene, which provides a very good look at the charmingly pulp art style inspired by old-school comics.
The second video is a raw and rather extensive gameplay segment right in our face, showing off what the game is all about.
Developed by Trey Powell and Jason Bond, Fallen Aces is coming to PC via Steam and a demo is already available to download. A full release date has not been announced for now.
If you'd like to learn more about Dusk, you can read our review, in which our Joseph Allen described the game as a "thoroughly unapologetic retro-inspired shooter." he also mentioned that "its excellent combat and emphasis on exploration should see it rocket-jump to the top of every shooter fan's wish list."
