Today Electronic Arts announced its financial results for for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2024, defined as "strong" by the company.
Net bookings for the quarter were $2.366 billion up 1% year-on-year. Of these, $1.712 billion came from live services, up 3% year-on-year.
The EA Sports FC franchise performed above expectations for the quarter, growing 7% year-on-year in terms of net booking. The Madden NFL franchise also grew, specifically by 5%.
Net Income (profit) was $290 million, up from $204 million in the previous fiscal year.
Chief Executive Officer Andrew Wilson accompanied the announcement with the traditional comment, confirming the definition of the results as "strong" and pledging continued focus on growing EA's biggest franchises and creating new and innovative games.

EA Sports FC outperformed expectations again this quarter, delivering 7% year-over-year net bookings growth, as momentum continued through the FC brand transition. We will continue to build upon the strength within our portfolio, while prioritizing investments in our largest opportunities for multi-year growth.

EA Sports FC 24 is currently available for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch following its release in September 2023. It's the successor to the FIFA franchise following the divorce from the soccer governing body.
Madden NFL 24 was released in August 2023 and it's available for the same platforms excluding the Nintendo Switch.
