A new Frozen Flame update is upon us. It expands the game world significantly, adding an entirely new biome and a cozy winter island to explore for the holidays. You'll also find new challenges, unique enemies to battle, and new sets of gear for yourself, plus more.
Despite some early teething troubles regarding online play and servers, Frozen Flame is pushing forward with its content roadmap, and the first major update promised as part of that roadmap is now here. Dragon's Grove adds, as you might expect, the titular biome, as well as lots of other content to play with.
You'll need to complete the Broken Valley before you can open the portal to Dragon's Grove. Once you've done that, you'll find a new area that expands Arcana's lore, as well as adding a new challenge in the form of the "fluffy, yet dangerous" Manticore, which you'll need your wits about you to face.
This new update is also adding the island of Krampus, which brings seasonal decorations and challenges to help you get into the holiday spirit. If you'd prefer to just kick back, hang out, and chill (no pun intended) in Frozen Flame over the holiday season, then Krampus Island is the place to be.
If you're more action-inclined, don't worry; Dragon's Grove has plenty for you as well. It's a challenging biome that also introduces new equipment for you to wear as you battle Manticores. New quests, crafting resources, and building modules are also being added, along with a host of NPCs, including a blacksmith voiced by Twitch personality CohhCarnage.
