Today Bethesda and Tango Gameworks announced that Ghostwire: Tokyo reached a new player milestone
According to the announcement made on social media, over 4 million players have played the game so far, which is certainly a good result for a new IP.Â
The game was originally released in 2022 only for PC and PS5, creating a paradox due to the fact that Bethesda and Tango Gameworks had been acquired by Microsoft, but the house of Xbox honored pre-existing timed exclusives alongside Deathloop. Yet, it finally reached Xbox Series X|S and Game Pass last month, which most likely contributed significantly to the milestone announced today.Â
Since the release of the game, its developer Tango Gameworks has not been inactive, and recently it has released another rather well-received game, Hi-Fi Rush. This one launched exclusively on Xbox and PC, since no exclusivity agreements with Sony were in effect.
