Today Bethesda announced the release date of its supernatural action game Ghostwire: Tokyo on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Game Pass.
The game will hit Microsoft's current generation console and subscription service on April 12, solving one of the most bizarre paradoxes following the acquisition of Bethesda.
Alongside Deathloop, we had games literally owned by Microsoft that remained console exclusive for a time to PlayStation platforms due to timed exclusivity agreements that the house of Xbox opted to honor.
The release will be accompanied by a free update on PC and PS5 titled the "Spider's Thread Update," of which you can check out a trailer below.Â
Ghostwire: Tokyo was originally released for PS5 and PC on March 25, 2022, so the Xbox release comes slightly after the one-year anniversary of the original launch. If you'd like to learn more about the game, you can take a look at our preview.Â
Since the release of the game, its developer Tango Gameworks has not been inactive, and recently it has released another rather well-received game, Hi-Fi Rush.Â
Here's how Bethesda officially describes Ghostwire: Tokyo if you're unfamiliar with it.Â
