Today Games Workshop hosted its big Warhammer Preview from Adepticon 2023, including plenty of news for its popular tabletop games.

First of all, we take a look at the return of the primarch of the Dark Angels, Lion El'Jonson. This will include his miniature and the fifth book within the Arks of Omen series (Arks of Omen: The Lion). The model includes four different head options and you can take a look in the trailer below.

Moving o to Horus Heresy, we take a look at the campaign book The Siege of Cthonia, part of the Age of Darkness series, coming with all the systems and details required to play this pivotal battle of the 31st millennium. Interestingly, there will be a small contingent of the Thousand Sons that will side with the Imperial Fists against their own chapter.

Moving on to Warhammer: Age of Sigmar, we take a look at the remaining Seraphon units including Aggradon Lancers, the Scar-Veteran on Aggradon, the Korxigor, and the Kroxigor Warspawned. We also get to see the cover of the upcoming Battletome and army box.

They will release in the summer alongside the General's Handbook and a "mystery book."

Still about Warhammer: Age of Sigmar, Games Workshop revealed the Mortisan Ossifector with the Ossiarch Bonereapers Death Battletome and Ivya Volga with the Soulblight Gravelords battletome. These will come this spring.

We also take a look at the first painted miniatures of the infantry of the Cities of Sigmar. These are still several months away and will release in the fall alongside another "mystery book." We also get to see the glyphs of the various factions in the Free Cities from the upcoming battletome.

Moving to Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team, a new trailer introduced the Gallowdark set including new sprues to represent the Hearthkyn Salvagers specialists and a kit for the Fellgor Ravagers beastmen, which will be a brand new kit.

It'll be the final installment of the current season of Kill Team.

We move on to Warhammer Underworlds with the reveal of a brand new season titled Wyrdhollow pitching a Stormcast warband against a Tzeentch one. It'll be a magic-themed season.

The miniatures are Ephlim's Pandaemonium on the Tzeentch side against Domitan's Stormcoven.

Last, but certainly not least, we get the centerpiece of the evening, the 10th edition of Warhammer 40,000. Games Workshop released trailer in which Ultramarines primarch Roboute Guilliman appears to paint a picture that definitely fits the grim darkness of the dark future, which appears to be taking an even darker turn.

It'll come this summer and will feature the 4th Tyrannic War as its main theme, shifting the focus to the western rim of the galaxy. It'll also feature a major streamlining of the rules and gameplay.

We also take a look at new space marine Terminator miniatures, while the Tyranids are getting a lot of new plastic kits this year.

While Warhammer 40K has been simplified, Games Workshop promises that it's "not simple." There will be fewer stratagems (six per faction) and fewer command points. The psychic phase will be gone and replaced by specific actions during other phases, while the effects of morale will be overhauled. Army building has also been considerably simplified. Models will also have different Objective Control stats depending on how good they are at conquering objectives.

All the core rules to play the game will be free and digital from day one. You can check out more details at the official site.
