HoYoverse has unveiled the Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.0 release date, as well as some of the new content you can expect if you jump into the game when the update arrives.
During today's previously-teased reveal livestream, a date of February 6th was announced, so you won't have too much longer to wait.
Version 2.0 will take you to the planet of Penacony, where you'll be able to take on Honkai: Star Rail's new Trailblaze Missions. These missions will run between versions 2.0 and 2.2, and will "culminate with epilogues in version 2.3". Exciting!
Three new characters are set to make their debut during the Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.0 cycle as well.
The first of these is Black Swan, a five-star character who specializes in dealing damage over time to enemies. Another five-star character, Sparkle, is also making her debut, and she's great for buffing the rest of your team.
Lastly, a four-star character by the name of Misha is appearing in Version 2.0. He's a doorman for Penacony's Reverie hotel, and his Ultimate has a chance of freezing its target.
Two previous Honkai: Star Rail faces are appearing in Version 2.0 as well: Dan Heng/Imbibitor Lunae and Jing Yuan, who'll appear in Version 2.0's first and second phase respectively.
Version 2.0 is also bringing a series of quality-of-life improvements and tweaks to Honkai: Star Rail.
First among these is Fate's Atlas, which aims to bring together the game's disparate plotlines and events to make them easier for you to understand.
You should now find it easier to enhance Relics, too; you can insert materials while upgrading, and new Relic set recommendations have been introduced, allowing you to quickly switch between Relic sets based on what you're after.
