How to Find the Dragon's Hoard in The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria
You can find the Dragon's Hoard in The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria within Barazinbar. Unfortunately, there's no quest marker pointing the way; you'll simply have to explore the entire area until you find it.
The only real clues you have are in the quest description:
Prepare for a fight, then seek out the Dragon's Hoard
With the Mithril spear in hand[,] it is time to confront the dragon. She has likely built her hoard near where Durin's Bane slept so long ago, drawn to the Shadows deep under Barazinbar. I will need to search for where the Balrog once slept.
The lore of Tolkien's world says that the Dwarves' mining of Mithril led to the Balrog being awakened and destroying Moria. This might make you think that you'll find the path to the boss in The Darkest Deeps variant called "Mithril Mine Shaft," but that isn't the case.
Instead, you're going to have to search through the Barazinbar section of the Map. Generally speaking, you'll likely have to go up and down a few levels since it's quite a maze down there.
Your ultimate destination is pretty hard to miss -- you'll see a large open hall with Orkish barricades blocking it:
In my experience, you'll be looking for a large, cavernous room. That will connect to a large hall that is blocked by an Orkish barricade. This pathway eventually leads to the Dragon's Hoard, but you won't be able to go directly there.
Before you move further, I strongly advise that you Build a Camp nearby with a Bedroll, a Repair Forge, and a Meal Table. You can, of course, take things a step further by building a Map Stone and other amenities. You're going to have to fight through quite a few Orcs, so you may as well have a small base to rest or respawn at.
You're also going to need to make sure that you have the Mithril Spear, a powerful Weapon that can damage the ancient Dragon. (Helpfully, this Weapon is also quite useful against the Orcs and Wargs.) You'll need to find Mithril to make it.
You can then break through the wooden barricade and you'll find The Domain of the Shadow Orcs with several Orc Camps and Orkish Chests inside. Make sure to destroy the Orc Camps to reduce the number of spawning Orcs.
Continue to progress past The Domain of the Shadow Orcs and you'll find the Dragon's Hoard -- and the Boss Fight against Narag-Shazon, the source of the Shadow Seals in Moria.
