As Games Workshop expands its IPs further and further (recently we've had 40K Magic the Gathering cards and soon we're getting Warhammer stamps), one company has been producing Warhammer 40K action figures. JoyToy currently offers a huge range of 1/18th scale Warhammer 40K figures for a variety of factions, and in this article, we'll take a look at 5 of the brand-new JoyToy Blood Angels Assault Terminators.
We've already looked at some Imperial JoyToy forces, and you can check out our Adeptus Custodes Allarus Custodians Review and Adepta Sororitas Order of the Argent Shroud Review.
Who Are the Blood Angels?
The Blood Angels are one of the first founding chapters of Space Marines. They come from the original 18 Space Marine chapters, and from those who stayed loyal to the Emperor during the Horus Heresy. The Primark, Sanguinius, resembled a winged angel, and his sons reflect his majesty, only with a darker side. The Blood Angels have a flaw in their gene-seed, which means they can suffer from the Red Thirst, sending them into a fury in battle, with rumors of blood drinking and uncontrolled frenzies.
What Are JoyToy Action Figures?
JoyToy action figures are a range of action figures for different IPs. Currently, they produce for Warhammer 40K, Infinity, and their own IPs Frontline Chaos and Dark Source. Most of their figures stand at around 5 to 6 inches, varying depending on the scale, feature incredible detail and intricate components and each action figure is fully posable.
How Easy Is It To Replace Parts and Pose JoyToy Blood Angels Assault Terminators Action Figures?
Almost all of the movable parts of all JoyToy figures involve a ball and socket. This is how the hands and heads are with the Blood Angels Assault Terminators, which allows them to be moved and posed. All of the weapons for the figures need a little force into the hands to ensure they're gripped properly, but the slightly rubbery nature of the material makes this easy enough, so don't be scared by the initial resistance when trying to put weapons into grips.
The Blood Angels Assault Terminators with lightning claws are fixed with no other hand options. The thunder hammers are also fixed with cables, but the hands can be changed freely, with the 3 Brothers are able to be displayed with the banner/storm shield or wield the thunder hammers in 2 hands.
Posing the figures is easy enough and the solid nature of the Blood Angels Assault Terminators allows them to balance well, it's advisable to fit the weapons and align them before finding the balance with the leg position.

What Are Our Final Thoughts On The JoyToy Blood Angels Assault Terminators Action Figures?
The Blood Angels Assault Terminators are solid and impressive, and while they have fewer armament options than some of the others available, they're still full of detail and character. The banner held by Brother Leonid looks incredible, as do some of the armor etchings. They all pose really well, their weight helping to balance them in pose, and being able to drop the storm shields/banner for 2-handed thunder hammer poses works very well.
Should I Buy The JoyToy Blood Angels Assault Terminators Action Figures?
If you're a Blood Angels fan, then these Assault Terminators are full of great iconic details and would look great with the rest of your collection. The teardrops, Baal etchings, and the aggressive-looking Sergeant Santoro with his canines bared really bring out their character and detail and form a devastating speartip to your force's assault.
