PQube announced the release date of the upcoming visual novel Konosuba - God's Blessing On This Wonderful World! Love For These Clothes Of Desire!
Yes. That is the actual title. It's the localization of Mages' "Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! Kono Yokubou no Ishou ni Chouai o!" originally released in Japan in 2020 and announced for the West in June 2023.
Today we learn that it'll launch for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on February 8. It'll even get a physical release for good measure.
The game is actually a hybrid between a visual novel and a dating simulator with time management elements, and it tells an original story featuring the popular gang from the anime.
Kazuma and his waifus discover a mysterious "Black Slab" that can create cursed outfits that will create intense desires in their wearer. To lift the curse, they will need to wear the outfit and fulfill their desires.
I know what you're thinking. Yet, this is not that kind of visual novel. Being a Konosuba game, it comes with the inevitable fanservice, but it's pretty much safe for work or at least, not adults-only.
As a matter of fact, it has a PEGI 12 rating, so don't expect anything too over the top even on the fanservice front.
The game prompts you to build up affection with its seven heroines and each of them has her own ending and events. These are likely to be interesting for fans of the series since the costumes can actually change the heroines' personalities pretty radically.
Speaking of fanservice and events, we also get the announcement of a "Swimsuit Bundle" day-one DLC that unlocks three new scenarios tied to three special costumes, Super Megumin, Deluxe Aqua, and Extra Darkness.
The heroines featured are Aqua, Megumin, Darkness, Wiz, Chris, Sena, and Yunyun.
