Persona 5 Tactica - Morgana is a drill sergeant

Today Sega released a new video of Persona 5 Tactica, in which Morgana himself teaches the ins and outs of the game, including some useful tips.

Of course, it's also a good chance to take another extensive look at the gameplay of this rather unique tactics JRPG take on the Persona franchise.

The first relevant tip is to pay attention to cover, ending your movement in cover and attacking enemies that are in cover will grant you a "one more" letting you attack a second time. That being said, you should be careful, as enemies will try to do the same to you.

Another way to earn yourself a "One more" is attacking enemies in cover with a melee attack or with a Persona skill. This will also break their cover, making them vulnerable to further attacks.

If you surround downed enemies with all three party members, you can unleash a Triple Threat Attack. This will deal a lot of damage to every enemy in the area encircled by your characters.

The fourth tip is to take advantage of the special effects that come along with Persona skills. Some of these skills also synergize well with each other.

Speaking of skills, we also take a look at the Voltage Gauge and the way it lets you unleash each character's Unique Skill.

You can watch the video below.

Update 9/26/2023: Atlus West published a version with English voice acting, but only of the first third of the original video. We added it below.

Update 10/2/2023: the second third has been published, and we added that one as well.

Update 24/10/2023: The fourth episode in English has been added.

Persona 5 Tactica will launch for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on November 17, 2023. It'll also have a day-one DLC titled Repaint Your Heart Challenge Pack, featuring Crow and Violet.

If you'd like to learn more, you can check out our preview, in which our Courtney Ehrenhofler praised the game for its "bright art and a premise that is fairly welcoming to newcomers and fans of the series alike, and solid strategy tactics."

Incidentally, we just learned that the other upcoming Persona game, Persona 3 Reload, will release for PS5; PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on February 2, 2024.
