Nobody - The Turnaround Entertainment Guide - cover

In this Nobody - The Turnaround entertainment guide, we will cover how entertainment works, where to go to keep your cool, and how to play the mini-games!

How Nobody - The Turnaround Entertainment Works

Entertainment in Nobody - The Turnaround is a great way to keep your cool. What we mean is that your player will have a cool meter that will determine how they are feeling throughout the day, ranging from motivated and happy as can be to sloppy and ready to give up on everything. One of the best ways to keep those sad feelings at bay is entertainment, and this game allows you to choose from quite a few things that will boost your mood. Though there are several to choose from, there are some methods of entertainment that are simple and easy, and some that take skill and time or money to complete. With that said, let's take a look at the best means of entertainment in-game thus far, and when, where, and how they are done.

Best Entertainment in Nobody - The Turnaround

The best Entertainment in Nobody - The Turnaround is easily the Basketball Court mini-game. Not only is it extremely easy to master (hint: you don't even have to move or angle the throw before shooting your shot) but it doesn't cost a penny. It also gives a decent boost to your mood and is still fun in itself to play.

Nobody - The Turnaround Entertainment Guide - Basketball in Park

Nobody - The Turnaround Entertainment Locations and Mood Bonuses

Here is a list of all of the Nobody - The Turnaround Entertainment activities, where you can find them, and what you can get for successfully completing them.

Basketball

  • Location - Park
  • Available During - Day
  • Cost to Play - 0
  • Possible Money to Win - 0
  • Maximum Mood Gained for 1st Play of the Day - +10
  • Maximum Mood Gain for 2nd Play of the Day - +5
  • Maximum Mood Gain for 3rd Play of the Day - +1

Basketball is not only simple but fun! The player will notice an arrow appear on the screen once they hit play, where there are very basic controls to shoot your shot. The goal, of course, is to shoot the ball into the hoop, and you not only have a time limit, but you have a limited number of basketballs as well. The arrow keys or WASD allow you to move the arrow in different directions, which will change the angle of your shot. Once you think your shot is lined up, you will use the left mouse button on the mouse to charge the power of your shot up. Once the mouse button has been released, the player will throw the ball and if you are lucky, you will sink the shot.

Billiards

  • Location - In front of City Bank, South of West Road
  • Available During - 24/7
  • Cost to Play - ¥10
  • Possible Money to Win - Unknown.
  • Maximum Mood Gained for 1st Play of the Day - +5
  • Maximum Mood Gain for 2nd Play of the Day - +5
  • Maximum Mood Gain for 3rd Play of the Day - +5

Billiards (also known as pool) is quite simple. The aim of the game is to use the Pool Stick to shoot the Billiard Balls into the pockets located in the corners and middle of the pool table. To charge your shot, you will need to aim using the mouse, and then simply click the left mouse button down and move it either forward or backward to "power up" your shot. The further the stick is from the Billiard Ball, the more powerful the shot. The idea is to hit the ball hard enough to sink one of the balls into a pocket, without hitting it so hard it goes flying around the table. It is a bit tricky to master, but all in all, is quite simple if you know the basics of Billiards in real life. One thing to note is that you will only want to sink one type of Billiard Ball - Stripes or Solids. The striped balls are all white minus one colored stripe across the center of the ball. Solids are as they sound; one solid color. Sinking the wrong type of ball will give you a foul, and you will lose points.

Chess Game

  • Location - To the East of the Job Center
  • Available During - Day, Dusk, Night
  • Cost to Play - 0
  • Possible Money to Win - Unknown.
  • Maximum Mood Gained for 1st Play of the Day - +1
  • Maximum Mood Gain for 2nd Play of the Day - +1
  • Maximum Mood Gain for 3rd Play of the Day - +1

If you do not know how to play Chinese Chess, it is best to steer clear of this game unless necessary. The game is part of the main storyline, so you will have to play at some point but luckily you do not have to win to progress the story. When you are prompted to play chess, if you do not know how to play, don't worry. Just simply move the pieces around the board until you either win or lose, and you will still get credit for the quest. More so, you will see that sometimes your character chooses chess as their preferred mood-boosting activity, and playing the chess game will give you +30 mood. Again, you do not have to win the game to get your mood boost, so if you do not want to learn how to play, you can still get the boost from losing.

Claw Game

  • Location - By the Galloway Mall to the East of the map
  • Available During - Anytime.
  • Cost to Play - ¥2
  • Possible Money to Win - 0
  • Maximum Mood Gained for 1st Play of the Day - +1
  • Maximum Mood Gain for 2nd Play of the Day - +1
  • Maximum Mood Gain for 3rd Play of the Day - +1

The Claw game is just as hard in this game as it is in real life, and seems to be a money sink with no reward. Lifting one of the toy pandas or kitty cats seems almost impossible, but it only costs ¥2 to play, so it isn't too terrible if you lose. Once you pay the fee, you will then see a claw that can be moved using WASD, and then launched into action to attempt to scoop up a stuffy once you hit the spacebar. You can play as many times as you'd like to try and win a prize, and it is a decent mood boost even when you lose, making it a great game of choice.

Dancing Auntie

  • Location - Basketball Court in the Park
  • Available During - Dusk
  • Cost to Play - 0
  • Possible Money to Win - 0
  • Maximum Mood Gained for 1st Play of the Day - +8
  • Maximum Mood Gain for 2nd Play of the Day - +5
  • Maximum Mood Gain for 3rd Play of the Day - +5

Dancing Auntie is Dance Dance Revolution but with a keyboard. You will start simple, just using one key at a time and then hitting space when the bar gets into the red area. You can use either WASD or the Arrow Keys to play, and you just need to hit the buttons in the right order. The more you play and build relationships with the dancing aunties, the harder the game becomes. This one is basically all RNG, since the moves are randomly generated, and can be quite challenging but very easy to understand and play to boost your mood. You will most definitely need fast reflexes to be successful at this game.

Dart Game

  • Location - Right outside the Fabulous Pub on Yongkang Road.
  • Available During - Day, Dusk
  • Cost to Play - Free
  • Possible Money to Win - Unknown
  • Maximum Mood Gained for 1st Play of the Day - +8
  • Maximum Mood Gain for 2nd Play of the Day - +8
  • Maximum Mood Gain for 3rd Play of the Day - +8

Darts is also quite simple and is much like the regular dart games at the local pub we know and love. As you begin, you will be given two game modes to choose from; 301 and Leaderboard. 301 is played the same way as Leaderboard, but you cannot get more than 301 points or you lose. Leaderboard allows you to get as many points as you want to win. As you begin either of the game modes, you will see your player holding a dart and a white and green circle that pulsates and grows and shrinks in size in size in the center of the Dart Board. You will use the mouse to aim, and then click the left mouse button to release and throw the dart. From what we have learned, you will want to wait until the white/clear circle reaches the center green circle before throwing to get a perfect throw.

Dice Game

  • Location - Inside of the Fabulous Pub
  • Available During - 24/7
  • Cost to Play - ¥20
  • Possible Money to Win - Unknown.
  • Maximum Mood Gained for 1st Play of the Day - +3
  • Maximum Mood Gain for 2nd Play of the Day - +3
  • Maximum Mood Gain for 3rd Play of the Day - +3

If you are unfamiliar with how to play Chinese Liar's Dice, we suggest avoiding this game entirely. The rules of Liar's Dice are not too complex to understand, but the game is time-consuming. Upon beginning the game, there are 5 total players at the table, each of which has a cup of five dice that they will shake up and slam down onto the table without removing the cup and showing what they have rolled. Players will need to guess how many dice of a certain value have been rolled onto the table. The first player of the round will call out a number of values of the dice they believe are on the table, such as "Three Fives!", and the next player in line will need to choose whether or not they agree with that number, think it is lower or believe the number of fives on the table is higher than the original call out. The person who "drops" instead of choosing a value is the one who ends the round, and those closest to the number of actual dice on the table win the game.

Internet

  • Location - Freestyle Esports, To the East on Yongkang Road
  • Available During - 24/7
  • Cost to Play - ¥6
  • Possible Money to Win - 0
  • Maximum Mood Gained for 1st Play of the Day - +5
  • Maximum Mood Gain for 2nd Play of the Day - +5
  • Maximum Mood Gain for 3rd Play of the Day - +5

This one is quite simple and honestly, pretty fun. You pay for 1 hour on the computer and have five games to choose from once it boots up. The games available currently are Defend the King, Gomoku, Block Puzzle, Air Fighting, and Nobody (modded). Each game comes with its own set of rules, such as Air fighting which is basically space invaders, and Defend the King is a tabletop card game. The mood boost seems to be dependent on how long you play and which games you choose. One quirky about the games is the modded Nobody game available. If you select this game, a popup appears asking if you would like to play a pirated copy of the Nobody game. When you attempt to click yes, it moves the Yes option all over the screen and does not allow you to actually play the pirated version.

Karaoke

  • Location - Next to the Fabulous Pub, and is called KTV on the Map
  • Available During - 24/7
  • Cost to Play - ¥20 per hour
  • Possible Money to Win - Unknown
  • Maximum Mood Gained for 1st Play of the Day - Unknown
  • Maximum Mood Gain for 2nd Play of the Day - Unknown
  • Maximum Mood Gain for 3rd Play of the Day - Unknown

This one is a bit confusing, as it is normal Karaoke but it is all in Chinese. The game does not have a tutorial to show you the ropes, and it appears to pick up sound from your microphone, meaning you have to sing the chosen song on screen to gain points and win. We have not yet completed this mini-game. What we have gathered is that yes indeed, you actually have to sing to play this game.

Mahjong

  • Location - Elegance Tea
  • Available During - Day, Dusk
  • Cost to Play - Anywhere from ¥1 to ¥5
  • Possible Money to Win - Unknown
  • Maximum Mood Gained for 1st Play of the Day - +1
  • Maximum Mood Gain for 2nd Play of the Day - +1
  • Maximum Mood Gain for 3rd Play of the Day - +1

If you do not know how to play Mahjong or are not familiar with the different variations of Mahjong, we suggest avoiding this game altogether. We were not knowledgeable of the specific ruleset for this type of Mahjong, therefore at this time, we do not have any guidance on how to play. You can pay to begin, where you choose one of the three available taboos, after that the game begins. Each player is given 13 Tiles to choose from, but other than that, the rules are quite foggy. There are so many variations to the game, it is hard to determine which style of rules this one follows.

Poker

  • Location - West side of the park
  • Available During - Dusk, Night
  • Cost to Play - Infinite, you will place bets up to ¥100 per round
  • Possible Money to Win - Infinite (depends on your bet)
  • Maximum Mood Gained for 1st Play of the Day - +5
  • Maximum Mood Gain for 2nd Play of the Day - +5
  • Maximum Mood Gain for 3rd Play of the Day - +5

Poker in this game is not the typical Poker you might be used to. The game itself is not hard, but understanding the rules is a bit complex. What we learned is that there are a few different options to place your bets on, such as Player, Banker, or Tie. The cards will be drawn automatically once you place your bet, and the winner is determined by what appears to be the value of the cards. You will win double the amount that you decided to bet at the beginning of the round.

Ring Toss

  • Location - In the middle of the Park by the fountain
  • Available During - Day, Dusk,
  • Cost to Play - ¥10
  • Possible Money to Win - ¥10
  • Maximum Mood Gained for 1st Play of the Day - +3
  • Maximum Mood Gain for 2nd Play of the Day -  +3
  • Maximum Mood Gain for 3rd Play of the Day - +3

Ring Toss is one of the easiest games to play by far. Simply pay to begin, and from there you will be able to move the mouse in the direction you want to toss the ring, click the left mouse button down to charge the toss, and release to throw the ring. The amount of points you win is determined by what the ring lands around; the items further to the back will give more points than the ones in the front.

Shoot Balloons

  • Location - In the Park to the North right side of the Fountain
  • Available During - Day, Dusk
  • Cost to Play - ¥5
  • Possible Money to Win - 0
  • Maximum Mood Gained for 1st Play of the Day - +10
  • Maximum Mood Gain for 2nd Play of the Day - +7
  • Maximum Mood Gain for 3rd Play of the Day - +7

Shooting balloons is extremely easy and a great way to boost your mood! Simply pay to play, and you will be handed a pellet gun to shoot at the balloons. The catch is that a specific balloon color will be chosen at the beginning of the game to aim for, which is displayed right in the dead center of the screen. Move and aim the pellet gun by moving the mouse, and then left click to fire at the balloon and you're done. You will only have a set amount of pellets to shoot (maximum is 10) and you are given a time limit. Shooting all 10 balloons of the proper color will give you a boost in your mood.
