Some may have been thinking that Palworld developer Pocketpair stopped announcing daily sales milestones because the popular survival crafting game's success slowed down, but apparently, this definitely isn't the case. Today we got another update, and it's a big one.
Pocketpair announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the game has now exceeded 19 million players, of which approximately 12 million on Steam and 7 million on Xbox.
That's certainly a massive achievement for a small indie team from Japan.
The game's total player count is far from being the only impressive number Pocketpair can boast. According to the monitoring portal SteamDB, Palworld holds the second-highest peak concurrent player number in the history of Steam, with 2,101,867 players.
Things have calmed a little bit lately, as the novelty naturally fades over time, but there are still 870,425 players playing at the moment of this writing on Steam alone, and today's peak (recorded a few hours ago) was nearly 1.5 million players.
Speaking of peak concurrent players, we hear from Microsoft that the game reached nearly 3 million users playing at the same time on Xbox. At that time, Palworld was the most-played game on the platform. It's also the biggest third party Game Pass launch in the history of the service.
We also hear from the developer that the current focus remains on Fixing bugs, albeit a few days ago they disclosed a fairly extensive roadmap for features and content coming during the game's early access.
Incidentally, earlier today, Pocketpair also warned against fake Palworld apps on the AppStore and Google Play using the game's name and imagery. There's no official mobile version of the game available anywhere (albeit the developer recently announced a deal with Klab to run a mysterious mobile game, but we don't know if it's connected with Palworld), and using these apps may be very risky.
