The most successful Kickstarters of all time will be getting it feet wet in the retail area come Sunday. The Pebble Smartwatch will be coming to Best Buy July 7th.
This announcement was confirmed by the CEO of Pebble Eric Migicovsky in a statement:
"The outpouring of support from our Kickstarter backers was the first signal to our team that Pebble's approach to smart, wearable technology was something the world was ready for. We've learned that people want their Pebbles. Thanks to Best Buy, we're giving folks more ways to make that happen."This is a major move for Pebble paving the way for smart watches to hit mainstream before the other companies bring them out. With Samsung and Apple working on their own watches, getting out on the mainstream shelves early in the game will give them a leg up on them.
