Today, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced a new State of Play broadcast coming later this week, promising a look at plenty of upcoming PS5 games.
According to the announcement made on the official PlayStation Blog, the broadcast will air on Wednesday, January 31 at 2:00 p.m. PST, 5:00 p.m. EST, 10:00 p.m. GMT, or 11:00 p.m. CST, depending on where you live.
It'll be a fairly sizable broadcast, lasting more than 40 minutes.
We hear that among the tiles featured will be Stellar Blade by Goddess of Victory: Nikke developer ShiftUp and Koei Tecmo's Rise of the Ronin.
On top of that, the show promises a look at over 15 games coming for PS5 and PlayStation VR2 "in 2024 and beyond."
No further information has been provided about the games that will be included at the show, so we'll have to wait and see what Sony will have up its sleeve. While there is no explicit mention of first-party presence, everything is possible, and we may get to see some of Sony's own games.
The wording of the announcement mentions "guest appearances from some of the most talented minds in gaming," so we may get to hear directly from the developers this time around, instead of the usual sequence of cut-and-dry trailers.
The broadcast will be hosted on Sony's YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok official channels, so you have plenty of options on where to watch. You can also find it embedded below.
Of course, you can expect full live coverage of the event here on TechRaptor if you don't have time to watch it live, or if you'd simply like to follow along.
If you don't yet have a PS5 and want to get ready for whatever is showcased during the broadcast, you can get one of the available flavors of the console on Amazon.
