Gunfire Games and Gearbox have announced that Remnant 2 sales have crossed a major milestone.
In a press release, the studios reveal that the game has crossed a million sales within its first week on release, which isn't too bad at all.
In addition to this impressive figure, the two studios further reveal that Remnant 2 managed to more than double its predecessor's concurrent player count at launch.
It took predecessor Remnant: From the Ashes around a year to achieve 2.5 million sales, so let's hope Remnant 2 can smash that record as well.
Gunfire's David Adams calls the milestone "amazing" and thanks fans for their "unwavering support" of the game.
Gearbox's Yoon Im, meanwhile, praises Remnant 2 for "[exceeding] our expectations", also thanking fans for their support and dedication to the Soulslike sequel.
You can take a look at the game's new Accolades trailer, which was put together to celebrate the million-sale milestone, right here.
Remnant 2 is, as you've probably guessed by now, the sequel to 2019's Remnant: From the Ashes, which also hit Switch this year.
The sequel once again takes players into an assortment of hostile worlds to dispatch alien creatures and reap loot rewards.
A new, expanded Archetype system gives you more choice regarding character class and specialization, too, with Archetypes like the long-range Hunter, supportive Medic, and tanky Challenger available to choose from.
As before, Remnant 2 can also be enjoyed alongside friends, and it's worth taking some buddies into the game's unforgiving levels if you want a better chance of success.
You can check out Remnant 2 right now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
