Resident Evil 3 Files Locations

Resident Evil 3 is now out, and the files in the game hold a lot of information about the world, Raccoon City, Jill, the surrounding characters and world, and more. Luckily, we have compiled the Resident Evil 3 files locations, allowing you to not miss a single one in your playthrough.

Resident Evil 3 Files Locations

Jill's Apartment Files Locations

There are four files located around Jill's apartment. The first can be found after she wakes up at her desk. Turn on the light just to the left of the desk and interact with the "Jill's Report" file pined on the wall next to it.

Further down the pinboard, you can find the second file Investigation Notes.

Walk to the left end of the pinboard to find a set of drawers with a bunch of items on it. Sitting on top of the drawers you can find the Unsealed Envelope file.

From that set of drawers, turn around to find the file Message From A Colleague file sitting on the kitchen table, in front of the pizza box.

Resident Evil 3 Uptown Files Locations

The first file in this section of the game is the U.B.C.S. Ammo Crafting Guide, and it can be found just outside of the subway car which Victor and Carlos are sitting in. It is sitting on the bench on the platform, as you exit.

Continue forward until you reach the newsstand in the subway. The file, Tabloid Front Page, is sitting on the stand in the shop.

Upon reaching the top of the subway, you will head through a gate which is classed as the first safe room. Sitting on the table in the center of the safe room is the next file (U.B.C.S. Herb Field Manual).

Once you are out and onto the streets of Raccoon City, make your way to the Donut Shop. Once at the entrance, look to the left and head up the flight of stairs. Take the left path, along the balcony to find the Drugstore Owner's Journal sitting next to the safe in the storage room at the end.

The next file is the Kite Bros. Railway Manual, which is found in the backroom of the Subway Control Room. Make your way through the corridor and straight ahead to find it resting on a chair, next to the desks.

From that file, head back into the corridor and take a left, into the square room. Sitting on the desk, you can find the Subway Employee's Memo.

The next file is found after you pick up the bolt cutters and open the red door in the same room. Once the cutscene has ended, look to the right of the dead body to find the Training Log file.

Head up the stairs and outside. Take a right to find the U.B.C.S. Suicide Note file sitting by the body.

Make your way to the opposite end of the alley to find the Electrician's Notice file pinned on the wall. 

The next file can be found in the Subway Power Substation Control Room, which is also the safe room in the area. Lying on the desk, next to the entrance to the safe room, you can find the file (Fax From Substation Chief).

Head downstairs and into the next area. On the wooden shelf at the bottom you can find the 'Green Herbs: They Work!' file.

Just to the left, you can find the next file (Substation Internal Memo) sitting next to the locked door.

The next file requires you to pick up the Lockpick sitting on the body in this area. Before progressing forward and switching the power back on, run all the way back to the first area of the Uptown district. Opposite the Donut Shop is a toy store with a lock on it. Open up the door and look at the poster in the back to find the Your Charlie Doll file.

The final file in the Uptown area is back at the Power station. Head through the door and follow the path straight ahead. Take a left at the corner and another left towards the power generator. Head through the door on the left and climb the ladder to find the Chad's Notes file sitting at the top.

Resident Evil 3 Sewers Files Locations

After Jill jumps down into the sewers, you can find the first file (Sewers Map) in the safe room just ahead.

From that safe room, continue forward until you reach the first walkway above the sewage. Next to the door on your right, you can find the Increased Sewer Security file.

Continue forward until you reach the first fork in the sewage works. Take the path straight ahead that curves around to the left. Climb up the ladder and into the safe room to find the Research Assistant's Logs file on the desk.

Just to the left of that file, you can find the next one (Invoice From Gun Shop Kendo).

The next file can be found upon reaching the second fork in the sewage works. Take the path to the right to find the file (Sewer Worker's Notes) at the end.

Once you reach the Lab in the sewers, head to the desk in the back left corner of the room. Here you can find the A Love Letter? file.

The next file doesn't come until you've reached the Demolition Site and are being chased by Nemesis. At the top of the building, you will find a safe room. Next to the typewriter, you can collect the Notice of Demolition Delay file.

Resident Evil 3 Downtown Files Locations

The only file in this section of the game comes after obtaining the key from Kendo's Gun Shop. Take the side alley to the left of his shop and enter the house at the back. Head upstairs and into the bedroom to find the Raccoon Times Reader's Column file sitting on the bed.

Resident Evil 3 Police Station Files Locations

The first file in the Police Station is found at the entrance. Take the staircase to the left and head underneath the entrance. You will find a door at the bottom. Inside this small locker room, you can find the Email Outbox file. 

The next file is found in the main lobby of the Police Station. After you have talked to Tyrell, head to the small waiting area to the left of the main desk. Sitting on one of the benches is the file (ID Security Card Protocols).

The third file in the Police Station (Sept. 20 Arrest Report) can be found in the West Office. It is located on the third desk on the left. 

The next file (Internal Memo) can be found in the safe room at the bottom of the staircase in the back of the station.

To find the next file, make your way to the Shower Room on the second floor. On the bench inside you can find the Note To A Friend file.

The final file here is The Report On The Mansion Incident file and it located in the S.T.A.R.S Office, on the desk in the side room. 

Resident Evil 3 Subway Tunnels Files Locations

The first file in the tunnels (U.B.C.S. New Weaponry Notice) can be found in the safe room. It is located on the black benches on the right.

The second file here is located in the courtyard, back on street level. Head to the railing along the canal, to find the Clock Tower Brochure file sat on the second red bench.

Resident Evil 3 Hospital Files Locations

The hospital is home to a lot of files. The first of which can be found as you enter the reception of the Hospital. It is located on the brochure stand next to the locked red door.

The next file (Nurses' Journal Sept. 25) can be found on the desk in the Lab Reception. 

The third file in the Hospital can be accessed from the second floor of the building. After you enter the building from the roof, take the path to the left to find the Hospital Map on the pinboard.

From the file above, enter the room on the left to find the Nurses' Journal Sept. 27 file wedged in the shelving along the right of the room.

The Nurses' Journal Sept. 29 file is found in the Staff Room, just next to where you picked up the Hospital Map. It is located on the desks in the center of the room. 

From the last file, walk over to the locked door in the Staff Room to find the Memos From Administration file.

The next file requires you to have the ID Card. Once you have obtained it, make your way back downstairs to the Emergency Entrance. Use the ID Card on the Operating Room to find the next file (RE: Lost Items) sitting on some machinery behind the bed.

The next file is called Notes On A Tape Recording and can be found in the Nurses Station. It is located on the desks.

To find the next file you will need to use the ID Card on the door in the Lab Reception. This will take you into a small lab, where you will find Bard. Next to his body is the file (Banquet Invitation).

From that last file, you can find the next (Email From Nathaniel Bard) on the computer located at the opposite end of the room.

The next file (Elevator Notice) isn't accessible until you have regained control of Jill and taken the elevator beneath the Hospital. It is located in the first safe room, next to the typewriter.

Progress forward until you have to squeeze through the two sets of shelving. Head up into the room ahead to find the Employee Memo file sitting on some boxes on the left.

The final file in this section of the game is accessed from the Surveillance Room after you have obtained all three fuses. Simply interact with the control panel in the center of the desk.

Resident Evil 3 NEST 2 Files Locations

The first file (NEST 2 Employee Regulations) can be found in the safe room at the start of the area.

From that file, head back out into the corridor and up the stairs on your left. Take a left at the top and head to the end of the path to find the Isaac Graves' Diary file sitting on the floor. 

The next file is the Essay on Vaccine Synthesis, and it is found on the same floor, in the large room with the vaccine creation machinery. It is sitting on the last bed on the right.

The fourth file in this area (Shipping Notice) can be found on the small table underneath the stairs in the large storage room on the first floor.

From that file, head upstairs and into the small lab. Sitting on the desk, next to a microscope is the next file (Weaponry Authorization Request). 

Head back downstairs and make your way into the next room. Take a right to find the Scientist's Dying Message file sitting next to a dead scientist. 

The seventh file in this section of Resident Evil 3 is found in the Incubation Lab. As you enter, there will be a white desk directly ahead. The Expression of Concern file is sitting on top of it. 

The next file is found after you have escaped Nemesis and taken the elevator up to the Worker's Break Room safe room. Titled Disposal Center, it is pinned to the wall next to the door. 

The penultimate file in the game can be found after the first boss battle with Nemesis. The Weapons Spec Sheet file is found in the Staff Break Room on the metal shelves in the left corner.

The final file in the game (Suspicious Contact Memo) can be obtained after you have defeated Nemesis once and for all. Take the ladder up to the balcony above the final arena to find the file sat on the floor, in front of the door.
