Today Ubisoft revealed what players can expect from the endgame of the upcoming pirate game Skull and Bones, on top of the roadmap for live service seasons during the first year.
The endgame appears to be centered on creating your own pirate empire by taking control of the local industry to flood the contraband routes with goods. On top of that, you can control the route themselves.
We even get a glimpse of what will be implemented post-launch to enhance this, including assigning ships or fleets to patrolling trade routes to bribing officials.
Above you can take a look at the full roadmap for the first year of live service, which will be aptly divided into four seasons.
Season 1 will be titled "Raging Tides," Season 2 will be titled "Chorus of Havoc," Season 3 will be "Into the Dragon's Wake," while Season 4 will invite you into the "Shadows of the Deep."
Each season will be themed after a rival legendary captain that you'll get to battle, including Philippe la Peste (basically Nurgle), the Hubac Twins, and Li Tian Ning. The fourth is still a mystery.
There will also be plenty of new activities including sea monsters and different world events, and new opportunities to take over territories for your pirate empires.
Of course, like in all live services, you'll be enticed via season rewards like new furniture, weapons, and ships.
You can see this all and more in the trailer below.
The second video showcases the engame itself, including hostile takeovers, legendary heists, and more.
Skull and Bones has been delayed basically a billion times, so I won't blame you if you have lost count. I did too. Yet, it's a real game that exists and it's actually releasing for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on February 16, 2024. If you pre-order the Premium Edition you can enjoy a 3-day early access.
