ConcernedApe, also known as Eric Barone, has taken to Twitter to share some new details about what's coming in Stardew Valley 1.6.

Remarkably, the developer still doesn't seem to be done with his farming RPG magnum opus. After 1.5 was the game's biggest update to date, Barone had previously said that 1.6 would focus mostly on user modding, but that's not all there will be.

Speaking on Twitter, Barone posted a simple tweet earlier today. Under the heading "coming in Stardew Valley 1.6", the tweet listed what Barone is currently working on for the update.

New content that's coming in Stardew Valley 1.6 will apparently include a new festival, more items, new dialogue, and "secrets". Tantalizingly, there's also a "???" at the end of the list, suggesting that Barone is working on more unannounced features for the update.

It is worth noting that Barone has previously said 1.6 will still focus primarily on user modding, so if you're a modder and you're worried you'll be left out, don't fret.

If you like Stardew Valley's festivals, then update 1.6 will be for you.

Of course, it's early days yet, and we still don't know what form the new festival will take.

We also don't know who the new dialogues will be for, nor do we know anything about the items or secrets that Stardew Valley 1.6 will contain.

Still, it's nice to know Barone is working on what sounds like a pretty substantial update for a game that's now more than seven years old. If you love Stardew Valley, it seems you'll still have reason to revisit the town in future, so don't down tools just yet.

Barone has also confirmed he's taking a break from his new game Haunted Chocolatier in order to create this update.

Sadly, Stardew Valley 1.6 doesn't have a release window yet, so we don't know when you'll get to enjoy this new content. In the meantime, though, you can pick up Stardew Valley right now on PC, consoles, and mobile devices.
