Best Starfield Ships to Buy
While somewhat based on preference, there's a few "best in class" ships you can get your hands on.
Best balanced ship in Starfield
Personally, I lean towards the Star Eagle. It's got solid stats across the board, with a lot of upward room to add more space and defensive/offensive capabilities.
Starfield ship with the most cargo capacity
The ship with the largest cargo capacity in Starfield is the Silent Runner with a whopping 6,060 Cargo space, followed by the Star Semi with 4,890 Cargo Space. That said, many ships will let you upgrade them with more cargo capacity!
Starfield ship with the most crew capacity
If you're looking to max out your crew size of companions that travel with you, there's two options: The Narwhal (7 Crew) and Dragonfire / Dragonfire II (7 Crew)
Best Defensive Ship in Starfield
There's 3 solid options for best defensive ship:
- Narwhal - 2118 Hull, 995 Shield Capacity
- Stronghold - 1047 Hull, 1600 Shield
- Star Eagle - 998 Hull, 760 Shield
Best Offensive Ship in Starfield
Based on overall power, the Abyss Trekker has the best offensive capabilities across Particle Weapons, Ballistic Weapons, and Missiles!
Starfield ship with the longest jump drive
The longest jump drive in the base ships is 30 Light years, from the following ships:
- Starborn Guardian
- Rambler II
- Achilles II
- Falcon II
- Narcissus II
- Orca
- Dullahan
- Narwhal
- Stronghold
Note: Upgrading the Astrodynamics Perk will give you the ability to go much further with ALL ships.
