That's right. Google is shutting down its Google Checkout product. Announced six months ago, with a firm date decided on recently. Fortunately, this won't be as impactful on users as shutting down Google Reader, but it could cause some hiccups in some peoples' businesses. Recently, Google added a quick section on the Google Checkout login, as seen below:

ATTENTION: On November 20, 2013, Google Checkout will no longer be supported. Sellers of digital goods on Google (Google Play, Chrome Web Store, Offers Marketplace and Google Wallet for digital goods) will automatically transition to Google Wallet and will not be impacted
Like the message says, everything is really just a matter of process. With the growth of Google Wallet, Google Checkout has become obselete, and that really is a good thing. Overall, Google Wallet is a great and very polished product that gives users much better control of their purchases. For web merchants who need an online payment processing solution, Google has partnered with Braintree, Shopify, and Freshbooks, all of which are not free. According to Google, the partnerships have been made to offer merchants "discounted migration options." Any thoughts on Google Checkout closing down? Will this impact your business?
