Rocksteady and Warner Bros. have released a brand new live-action trailer for upcoming superhero action game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and it stars none other than Will Arnett himself.
The BoJack Horseman and Arrested Development actor takes the role of Deadshot in the trailer, which also features Ron Funches and Jodi Hill.
Arnett and his compatriots crack wise as they battle what Arnett calls "those things with the glowing purple eyes". We also see a few members of the titular Justice League, who arrive to cause havoc just as they will in the game.
Arnett and Funches' presence in the trailer is particularly amusing given that both have voiced major DC characters.
Funches voices King Shark in the DC and Max show Harley Quinn, while Arnett memorably played the Lego incarnation of Batman in the Lego Movie franchise.
It seems like something of a missed opportunity for Funches not to play King Shark here, but perhaps he requested the chance to play Quinn.
If you're not familiar with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, it's the newest superhero action project from Batman: Arkham developer Rocksteady Studios.
Launching on February 2nd, the game will allow you to play as four members of the titular Suicide Squad: Harley Quinn, Deadshot, King Shark, and Captain Boomerang.
It'll also feature a number of other popular Batman-adjacent characters, including the Penguin, as well as the Justice League, who have been corrupted (hence the title).
Unlike the Batman: Arkham games, Suicide Squad will feature live-service elements, with a "generous" raft of post-launch content including new bosses, new playable characters, and new weapons on the way.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League launches for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 2nd. If you've pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition, you'll be able to start playing from January 30th (or 29th if you're on Pacific time).
