Bandai Namco has unveiled another new Tekken 8 character trailer, and this time, it's the turn of polite automaton Alisa Bosconovitch to get the spotlight.
As the trailer kicks off, Alisa introduces herself in a very endearing and affable way, even if she is threatening to kill her opponent (who, in this case, happens to be Lars Alexandersson).
Alisa uses a combination of martial arts and built-in weaponry to do battle, and her combat style is very graceful, not stiff and robotic like you might expect an android to be.
Alisa's next opponent after Lars in her trailer is her fellow android Jack-8, and there's a rather humorous exchange to kick off the fight between the two.
Alisa bows in her customary way to introduce herself, but unfortunately, her head falls off. Jack-8 chivalrously bends down to pick it up for her, throwing it back onto her body before the fight begins.
Of course, if you've been keeping up with the other Tekken 8 character trailers, you'll know how this one ends. Jack-8 doesn't stand a chance.
The trailer concludes with Alisa's Rage Art, in which she detaches her own head to kick it at her enemy, causing an explosion when it connects. It's safe to say Bandai Namco isn't playing it 100% seriously with Alisa.
Alisa Bosconovitch is just one of several returning characters making an appearance in Tekken 8. She's joined by the likes of Kuma, Shaheen, and Yoshimitsu, to name but a few familiar faces.
A number of new characters will also feature in Tekken 8, including Victor Chevalier, Reina, and Azucena, the latter of whom was the subject of a rather controversial Tekken 8 exhibition match recently.
Tekken 8 is set to launch for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on January 26th. A playable demo for the game is available across all of those platforms right now, too.
