Stunlock Studios has announced its plans for a V Rising Halloween event, and if you like to decorate your castle with creepy accouterments, you're in luck.

While it's true that the Halloween event won't be as substantial as the game's 1.0 update, you're still getting some free DLC in the form of the Haunted Nights Castle Pack.

This pack brings new decoration items for you to enjoy, so you can dress up your castle to terrify invaders or delight guests.

V Rising is getting even spookier than usual for Halloween.

The DLC is free to claim right now, and once you've got it, it's yours. However, it's only available until November 10th, so make sure to grab it before it's gone.

As well as this DLC, Stunlock is also inviting you to draw some of V Rising's hideous creatures in a new art competition.

You can check out the announcement post for some inspiration if you'd like; there, you'll find ghoulish representations of some of the game's creepiest beasties.

Can you draw something as creepy as this?

Winners will receive some pretty nifty goodies, including V Rising merch and in-game content. The grand prize winner will also get access to all future V Rising DLC packs, which is a pretty neat perk.

Of course, spooky season doesn't stop there for V Rising.

Several community events are also planned for the game in the coming weeks, including a 1v1 player-versus-player tournament, a Capture the Shard event in early November, and a new Castle Build Contest.

V Rising is available right now on PC via Steam Early Access. It's a vampire survival action RPG in which you'll build and defend your very own vampiric stronghold.

The game has received several updates since its launch, with the next big one, the 1.0 launch, scheduled for sometime in Q2 2024.

While you wait for that, and once you've claimed your free Halloween DLC, why not take a look at our V Rising guides for some help getting started in the game's gloomy Gothic world?
