Games Workshop has previewed another battletome. As part of the newest edition of Warhammer Age of Sigmar, various armies have been getting rules updates, as well as new mechanics and units. Now, the forces of Death are getting new blood with the new Flesh-Eater Courts battletome.

The Flesh-Eater Courts Battletome preview

In an official Warhammer-Community post, Games Workshop went into further detail about the new Flesh-Eater Courts Battletome.

Ghouls that think they are noble? That's a disturbing thought.

While the undead army is bound to the mad wishes of their Ghoul Kings, this Battletome highlights the delusions of chivalry by the recently-previewed Ushoran: Mortarch of Delusion unit.

This can be seen in their newest battle trait: Noble Deeds. Every time a hero unit casts an unbound spell, answers a chanted prayer, or fights the enemy, they gain a Noble Deed point. Once that hero reaches six Noble Deeds, nearby units gain additional benefits.

For example, Feeding Frenzy will add 1 to melee attacks of all units within 12" of the Hero unit. Given how ferocious a bunch of undead warriors can be up close, that bonus can add up.

Alternatively, Courtier models can spend Noble Deed points to use Muster Guard. This can bring back a recently slain Serf unit for 1 point, or a recently slain Knight unit for 2 points. Better still, this ability can be used multiple times as long as there are points to spend.

Lastly, the Flesh-Eater Courts Battletome outlines the Courts of Delusion battle trait. At the start of a battle, the player chooses one of five delusions to apply to the battle.

The preview highlights two of these delusions. Crusading Army adds 1 to run rolls and charge rolls, great for more aggressive playstyles. Alternatively, Defenders of the Realm adds 1 to save rolls when units are contesting an objective; perfect for taking and holding territory.

Of course, that is but a small glimpse at the new material coming to this army. For more, you will have to read the battletome yourself.
