Wild Hearts Giant Kemono Materials List
Most of the materials you’ll need for equipment crafting comes from Wild Heart’s Giant Kemono. Most can be obtained after dealing the final blow to one of these Kemono, though some will require you to break specific parts of their bodies. Some broken parts can be picked up straight away, while others (generally tails or larger body pieces) must be carved. Some drops will also depend on whether the Kemono is enraged, giving you more changes to obtain certain materials.
There are 4 tiers of Giant Kemono:
- Normal - Encountered during Chapter 1 and 2. Not all monsters are available in this tier.
- Mighty - Encountered during Chapter 3 and 4
- Volatile - Encountered in Chapter 5
- Deeply Volatile - Encountered in Chapter 5. Requires a certain amount of Keystones for that area.

Wild Hearts Small Kemono Materials List
While exploring each area, you’ll come into contact with a number of smaller Kemono that don’t pose much of a threat. While you can kill these for certain materials (often meat for eating), it’s also possible to sneak up on them via crouching (default Keyboard X, Xbox B, PlayStation O). This will give you a prompt to pet the small Kemono, giving you a chance to gain different items.

Wild Hearts Creature Materials
Even smaller than the small Kemono are the creatures roaming each map. These are all passive, and will usually run away when you get near. Creatures are collected like regular items, though they serve a secondary purpose outside of occasionally being needed for accessories. By using certain Dragon Karakuri — Wildlife Cages and Pens depending on the animal — it’s possible to keep creatures as pets for unique drops. Animals will give one material each time, and you’ll generally need to hunt a Large Kemono before the next item will be ready. It’s possible to switch which animal is in a cage or pen at any time, and they’ll even be returned to your inventory.
