In this guide, we'll teach you how to unlock every Wizard with a Gun Gun, how to Craft them, and explain which Gun is the best of the bunch!
As the name implies, a big part of Wizard with a Gun is Guns. (It's right there in the title). While the Bullets you're using are equally important, equipping the right Gun (and having the right Resources to Craft it) is the key to success. Read on to learn everything you need to know about Guns!
How to Unlock Every Wizard with a Gun Gun
You can unlock each Wizard with a Gun Gun by scanning Gunslingers in each Biome. Scanning a Gunslinger once will unlock the full set of four guns (Revolver, Machine Wand, Wanderbuss, and Carbine) for that Biome.
Here's what you'll unlock by scanning Gunslingers:
- Cult of Iron Gunslingers (The Imperium): Shabby Revolver, Shabby Carbine, Shabby Wanderbuss, Shabby Machine Wand
- Cult of Lead Gunslingers (The Fell): Rugged Revolver, Rugged Carbine, Rugged Wanderbuss, Rugged Machine Wand
- Cult of Cobalt Gunslingers (The Frozen Wastes): Trusty Revolver, Trusty Carbine, Trusty Wanderbuss, Trusty Machine Wand
- Cult of Steel Gunslingers (The Barren Sea): Refined Revolver, Refined Carbine, Refined Wanderbuss, Refined Machine Wand
How to Craft Guns in Wizard with a Gun
You can Craft Guns in Wizard with a Gun by speaking to Young Joshua; he can be found near the central Doorway in the Imperium which is tied to the central Doorway in the Tower.
Joshua tends to charge 5 Wood and 10 Metal Scrap for a Biome's guns; for example, Crafting Guns for the Frozen Waste will cost 5 Kolbara Bark and 10 Cobalt Scrap each. Make sure you have the right Resources before you try to get some Guns Crafted!
You can also Craft a Wooden Gun (as well as the two utility Guns) from your inventory; however, the Wooden Gun isn't useful once you can get your hands on some better Guns.
Finally, it should be noted that each Crafted Gun also comes with 250 basic Destruction Bullets appropriate to the Gun's level. You'll likely want to replace these with elemental Bullets as soon as you can, but Destruction Bullets will do a decent enough job in a pinch.
Best Gun in Wizard with a Gun
The best Gun in Wizard with a Gun is the Machine Wand. Although Carbines have longer range and Wanderbusses do better AOE damage, the Machine Wand provides an excellent rate of fire and has a large magazine.
That said, remember that Guns aren't much without Bullets -- more often than not, it is the quality of your Bullets that will determine how well you do in a fight rather than the Gun!
