Konami has announced Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection, which will collect some of the earliest Yu-Gi-Oh! video games. It's coming West, although we don't yet know when.

The collection was originally announced yesterday (thanks, Eurogamer) during a Yu-Gi-Oh! livestream, but a press release by Konami confirms that Early Days Collection is also heading West.

According to said press release, Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection will include "titles previously only released in Japan", including Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 4: Battle of Great Duelists, a Game Boy Color game from 2001.

Some of the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise's earliest video game works will soon be part of a new collection.

In the original Japanese announcement for Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection, another game, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 6: Expert 2, was also mentioned.

This one's a Game Boy Advance game from 2001, and again, it was only released in Japan. Since Konami hasn't officially confirmed that Duel Monsters 6: Expert 2 will be part of the collection in the West, however, we don't know if it'll be included outside of Japan.

The collection is intended to commemorate the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise's 25th anniversary, and as part of those celebrations, a number of other projects were also detailed.

They include a project wherein players could take on an AI opponent in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, as well as an immersive Yu-Gi-Oh! VR experience and a new animation celebrating the franchise.

Unfortunately, Yu-Gi-Oh! creator Kazuki Takahashi isn't around to see the franchise he created turn 25, as he sadly passed away in July 2022, reportedly while attempting to save others from drowning (thanks, New York Times).

However, the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise continues to perform well, with the aforementioned Master Duel still regularly hitting over 20,000 concurrent players on Steam.

We'll have to wait and see when Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection will make its way to the West, but when it does, it'll arrive on PC and Nintendo Switch. Stay tuned for more info on this one.
