THQ Nordic and Haemimont Games have released Jagged Alliance Patch 1.5, and if you've been waiting for your chance to mod the strategy RPG, this is the update for you.
The game, which launched for PC in July last year and for consoles in November, has received a number of content updates since launch, but this one should be of interest to anyone who wants to create custom Jagged Alliance 3 content.
Per the official patch notes for this update, you've now got access to "a treasure trove of powerful modding tools" that encompass "most of what was used during the development of the game".
These modding tools will let you create Jagged Alliance 3 campaigns, edit maps, make custom quests, and much more.
The new update is also introducing ten new game rules, many of which are intended to make the Jagged Alliance 3 gameplay experience a little more challenging.
New rules include Hard Lessons, which slows the rate at which your mercenaries level up, as well as Under the Weather, which ratchets up the likelihood of severe weather conditions occurring.
You'll also find several bug fixes, including a fix for a softlock caused by "trying to cheese active pause" after the start of combat. Tut, tut.
Jagged Alliance 3 is the third mainline game in the Jagged Alliance series of turn-based strategy RPGs.
Announced in September 2021, the game was created with the oversight of Jagged Alliance series creator Ian Currie, who was involved with the game's production "since day one".
As you'd expect for a Jagged Alliance game, the third installment is all about managing a team of mercenaries, sending them out on dangerous tactical missions, and equipping them with a veritable arsenal of weaponry.
You can grab Jagged Alliance 3 right now on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
