Our Enshrouded Crafting Guide will teach you the basics of Crafting and show you where you can craft all of the items in the game.
Though you can loot a lot of cool stuff all over the map, you'll get most of your gear in Enshrouded by crafting it. Once you have the right resources, it's simply a matter of going to the correct workstation and putting it all together. Read on to learn all about crafting!
How Crafting Works
There are three types of Crafting in Enshrouded:
- Inventory Crafting: Some items can be crafted in your inventory at any time provided that you have the resources. Crafting is instant.
- Workbench/NPC Crafting: Some items can only be crafted at a particular workbench or by talking to an NPC. These items are also crafted instantly provided that you have the correct resources.
- Automatic Workbench Crafting: Some workbenches (such as the Charcoal Kiln) will slowly craft items over time. You must select the correct recipe and insert the associated resources into the workbench for the crafting process to begin. Crafting will stop when the resources stored in the workbench run out or the workbench's inventory is full.
In addition to these limitations, some crafting recipes require that certain "Components" are placed nearby. For example, crafting the Eternal Ice Bolt Staff Charges at the Alchemist requires a nearby Alchemy Station in addition to the ingredients for the recipe.
How to Craft from Storage
You can craft from storage by making "Magic" chests at the Carpenter NPC; any items contained within these chests will be available for crafting at that same base.
How to Unlock More Crafting Recipes
Naturally, you won't have access to every crafting recipe in Enshrouded from the get-go. You'll have to unlock them as you play through the game.
There are two ways to unlock crafting recipes:
A notification will pop up on the screen when you've unlocked new crafting recipes.
