Open-world survival-crafter Enshrouded has received its first major patch, and it comes with an absolute ton of bug fixes and tweaks.
Major bugs that have been squashed include "several rare crashes", an AMD-specific shader glitch, and lots of gameplay bugs, including one that allowed players to "seamlessly chain long sprint jumps".
Amusingly, Keen Games also says it's fixed a bug wherein players would simply drift upwards continuously when using a bed. As Keen itself says, "dreams should not be this powerful".
Other fixes include performance improvements across the board, as well as a problem that prevented players from logging into dedicated servers.
If you've noticed that certain objects in Enshrouded's world had low-res textures (without your say-so, of course), that issue should have been fixed as well.
Of course, it's not just bug fixes; certain balance changes have been implemented too, including a nerf to the Water Aura skill, which Keen Games says "was just too good".
The frequency of in-game content resets has been changed to every 30 minutes, although content still won't reset if players are present in the area in question.
In short, this first major Enshrouded update should ensure that your gameplay experience is a little smoother, so while there's no single show-stopping addition, you should notice a slightly less rickety ship, so to speak.
There are, of course, tons and tons of bug fixes I haven't mentioned here, so make sure to take a look at the full Enshrouded patch notes to see what else is new in this first major update.
If you're not familiar with Enshrouded, it's a new open-world survival crafting game that was released on Steam via Early Access in January.
Its fully voxel world and range of different activities have proven popular with players, causing it to break the million-player mark within just four days of its release.
You can pick up Enshrouded right now on PC via Steam. Its world can be a little tricky to get to grips with, so make sure to check out our Enshrouded guides to help you get started.
